Bend-Tech SE is the top of the line when it comes to tube bending software. SE is a must have if your job, business or livelihood depends in part on bending tube. We have provided SE with the tools that will allow you to be productive no matter what problems you face in your tube bending fabrication.

Of course SE provides the ease-of-use found with EZ, the fundamental 3D engineering of EZ3D and the assembly design of PRO. SE provides those extra tools that you will need when you are concerned about setup and production times. What separates SE from the rest is its focus on manufacturability and flexibility in design.

Focus on Manufacturability:

SE checks to verify sufficient material is available for the bending process.
SE can provide a "spring back" bend angles.
SE provides extra checking tools to verify part validity.
SE allows for multiple dies to be used on the same part.
SE has extra functionality for roll bending.
SE provides a graphical layout interface.
SE (with the LRA module) provides exact values for NC or CNC machines.

Focus on Design Flexibility:

SE has an XYZ interface.
SE provides a Sketch interface to help with some prints.
SE has an advanced LRA "Length, Rotation & Angle" design interface.
SE has a very powerful reverse engineering feature.
SE allows for dxf/dwg interfacing (with the Import/Export module).

PC System Requirements
Windows XP or Vista
Windows Vista is not an issue for Bend-Tech products. Bend-Tech has been tested on the new MS Windows Vista operating system and runs successfully. We have been using the latest tools provided by Microsoft and this allowed us to be 100% compatible prior to the official release of Vista.

Railing Module
Bend-Tech SE is required for this module. The Railing Module is a group of templates specifically for hand railings and also includes a cord window for large radius bending.







Cad Import/Export Module Bend-Tech SE is required for this module. The Cad Import/Export Module allows for dxf and dwg 3d files to be imported and will export files via dxf.
Export: Both parts and assemblies are available for export. Export files are available in the dxf format.
Import: This module can use both dxf and dwg files. We are looking for the centerline wire frame of the part. Bends maybe represented with or without arcs.













LRA Module: The LRA module is designed for machines with rotary index tables and/or CNC controlled.
A user can change the locations to the straight leg length between bends, display the length of the bend, change the rotation to incrementally from 0 to 360 or absolute from -180 to 180 or to 0 to 360.

The Pricing Module: How can the module help you?: There are 3 ways to quote a job; 1) Just right, you get the job and are able to make the profit you desire. 2) Too high, you are too high priced to obtain the job. 3) Too low, I consider this to be the worst case. You get the job, however, loose money on it.

Function: Allows a user to assign cost to material, time to setup and run time to functions such as; cutting, bending, notching and welding. In addition other functions can be added such as; paint, cleanup, sand blast, etc.... A price is than given per hour of labor. In addition, a percentage increase can be given against material and/or time.

NOTE: This module is designed to allow you to obtain an accurate price. It is not designed to provide the quoted presentation material to your customer.

Design Features: Besides material there are run time and setup time for each work station. The setup time is a one time charge to the over all job. As an example; if it takes 20 minutes to setup the bending job for the die, then that time is divided up between the parts in an assembly and the quantities of the job to run. The run time is the amount of time to run that function. In the case of bending, the time it takes to move and rotate the material into the proper position, needs to be accounted for in the run time of the job.
